The 2008 Audi A4 Avant Cabriolet has a sporty design has a look of its own, but there’s much more to this model than its body style. Impressive new features on this convertible include the Electronic Stability Program, which monitors wheel speeds, slip angles and the position of the steering wheel. In doing so, ESP can apply brakes and reduce power to individual wheels until full traction and control is restored, making this sleek ride a safe one, too.
Also adding to safety are the A4 Avant Cabriolet’s standard advanced vehicle alarm system, and dual airbags for the driver and front passenger. Its novel close-ratio power steering allows for sporty handling, and high performance tires are available.
The A4 Avant Cabriolet’s look is gripping, thanks to many features including the acoustic convertible roof, Beige Birch wood decorative inlays and forged-alloy wheels.
Comfort is a must, and sometimes we don’t all agree. This isn’t a concern in the A4 Avant Cabriolet with its dual zone air conditioning with climate control, including separate controls for the driver and front passenger and active charcoal filter. This model also keeps audio high on the priority list, with a standard AM/FM stereo with 6-disc in-dash CD changer and satellite capability. WMA/MP3 playback and Bluetooth options also are available.
The A4 Avant Cabriolet’s driver information display includes a five-function trip computer, outside temperature display, among other indicators. The power level of this model depends on the driver’s taste. Fast, or, well faster. Options include a 200-horse power, 2.0-liter, or 255-horse power, 3.2-liter engine.
Audi’s 2008 A4 Avant Cabriolet combines sleek appearance, technology and safety, making it to be on a lot of want lists this year.
