It’s got space, torque and power – the 2008 Audi A6 Avant. Not only is its look sleek, but this year provides many features allowing for safety and practicality. Its available Advanced Key System, which automatically unlocks the door as the driver approaches, shows Audi’s grasp on technology, and there’s also a map-based DVD navigation system to assist the driver on journeys, short or long.
The ‘08 A6 Avant becomes a safe haven for its passengers with its head protection supplemental restraints for front and rear occupants. Rear side airbags also are available. Children also are kept in mind with this Audi’s power child-safety window and rear door locks.
This Audi is striking to look at, but couldn’t be so without its exterior features, including the roof spoiler and 18-inch alloy wheels. The inside is attractive as well, with leather seating surfaces. Occupants are provided comfort with the A6 Avant’s dual air conditioning with climate control, and power-adjustable front seats, which are heated. Adaptive cruise control is optional.
Entertainment comes in high quantities with the A6 Avant’s standard 6-disc in-dash CD changer and satellite radio capabilities. Other options include WMA/MP3 playback capabilities.
A backlit instrument display includes tachometer, electronic speedometer, odometer and voltmeter, digital clock with date, service interval indicator and fuel and coolant temperature gauges. The power level is sufficient, with 255-horse power and a 3.2-liter engine, making it a tech-savvy car that’s also hard to keep up with.
The 2008 A6 Avant is a car that combines a sporty design that’s also high-end, technology and safety, making it hard to resist.
