2008 Cadillac CTS ReviewThe 2008 Cadillac CTS is an impressive new model that includes a roomier cabin capacity, capable and secure handling, unique interior design, and all-wheel-drive. It also offers several new features like re-tuned suspension and an additional two inches of track width that guarantee speed, comfort, and convenience.

This ‘08 CTS is a worthy midsize luxury spot sedan comes standard with 17-inch wheels, leatherette seating, an eight-way power driver seat, dual-zone automatic climate control and a CD/MP3 player with an auxiliary audio jack and satellite radio. However, buyers may also choose from several packages. The Seating Package includes leather-trim and upgraded power/heated front seats. Meanwhile, Luxury Level One/Two packages add a six-CD changer, rain-sensing wipers, heated/ventilated seats, power adjustment for tilt steering wheel, rear park assist and keyless ignition. On the other hand, the Premium Luxury Collection Package adds 40GB hard drive-based navigation system with real-time traffic, a Bose surround-sound audio system, sunroof, wood trim and LED interior lighting.

Two V6 engines power the 2008 Cadillac CTS. Standard power is generated by a 3.6-liter V6 with 258 hp and 252 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the latest 3.6-liter direct injection V6 puts out 304 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque that produces a 0-60-mph time of 6.5 seconds. The CTS is also available in both rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive configurations.

Interior features of the new CTS has improved with high quality materials, wood accents, and alloy trims. It also has thinner front seatbacks, stretched cabin, and latest telescoping steering column that provides ample space and comfort. Furthermore, it is equipped with a touchscreen display for audio and climate systems. Another excellent addition is the 40GB hard drive included with the premium Bose surround sound audio system which stores digital music and an iPod integration interface.

Antilock disc brakes, traction control, stability control, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and GM’s OnStar make up the CTS’ safety features.
