2008 GMC Acadia ReviewThe new 2008 GMC Acadia is packed with a stronger frame, more powerful engine, and more spacious interior. It is considered as one of the best large crossover utility vehicles sold at a very reasonable price.

The ‘08 Acadia is available in only one body style. This body style includes a wide track and long wheelbase. Its base form comes with a front-wheel drive while you may also opt for an all-wheel drive.

The GMC Acadia is also available in three trim levels namely SLE-1, SLT-1, and SLT-2. Each of these model comes with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that can generate 275 horsepower and 251 pound-feet of torque. In addition, all trim levels come standard with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Interior features include cruise control, full power accessories and front and rear air-conditioning for superb comfort. Meanwhile, the base stereo is a six-speaker sound system with an in-dash CD player and MP3 playback which provide entertainment for the whole family especially during long trips. However, the SLT-1 and SLT-2 trim levels have a premium 10-speaker Bose system with a six-CD in-dash changer. In addition, other features include leather upholstery, heated front seats, power seats and tri-zone automatic climate control.

Acadia can accommodate up to eight passengers making it one of the roomiest crossover utility vehicles of its kind. Second-row seats are captain’s chairs but you may also ask for a 60/40-split-folding bench. The second-row seats are also convenient since they provide easy access to the third-row seats. In addition, enough luggage room is also provided behind the third row.

Other features of the ‘08 Acadia include a full array of airbags, stability control with roll mitigation and antilock disc brakes which provide superior protection and security.
