2008 Hyundai Tucson ReviewQuite possibly the most versatile vehicle in the company’s lineup this year, the 2008 Hyundai Tucson has something to offer just about anyone. From soccer moms in suburbia who aren’t ready to upgrade (or downgrade, perhaps?) to a minivan to hip scenesters fresh out of college, people of all ages and familial statuses will love the Tucson.

This year, the Tucson is available in three affordable models. Starting at $17,235, is the GLS. The SE occupies the mid price range, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $21,035. For those who like to have all of the bells and whistles a car can provide, the $22,885 Tucson Limited is the perfect option. Whichever style consumers decide on, the cars will meet and exceed their expectations.

For example, all three of the models have a 5 Star Crash Rating by NHTSA. With six standard airbags to cushion all aboard, in the event of an accident everyone will be highly protected from harm. On the driver’s side of the aisle, the ‘08 Tucson features a standard Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and a Traction Control System (TCS). With all of those acronyms along for the ride, people are bound to feel safer.

Still, there’s a lot of fun to be had while driving the 2008 Hyundai Tucson. The engine is a 2.7 liter, DOHC with six valves. As a result, there’s a ton of power to get drivers where they need to go fast. If owners prefer to race to vacation destinations or camp grounds, they’ll enjoy the 125 cubic feet of total interior space that has plenty of room for a ridiculous amount of luggage and equipment. If the great outdoors aren’t appealing at the moment, owners can pile up to four other friends in the car and hit up the mall.
