This model is eco-friendly, with a 4-cylinder diesel engine, said to be one of the cleanest production diesel engines out there. It still has some oomph, delivering 168 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The model uses a 7-speed automatic transmission and 4MATIC four-wheel drive system.

Hot off the press, this model debuted at the 2008 North American Inter-national Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit in January.
