The ‘08 Sable is a full-size sedan that comes either in front-or-all wheel drive. It is also available in two trim levels namely the base and the Premier trims. The base models are equipped with 17-inch wheels, full power assessors, power driver seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, wood grain interior trim, air conditioning, a CD player and MP3 jack, cruise control, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. On the other hand, the Premium trim offers 18-inch wheels leather upholstery, a power passenger seat, front seat heaters, a memory system for the driver seat and mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, an upgraded audio system with a six-disc CD charger, heated mirror with puddle lamps, and an analog clocks. The 2008 Sable comes standard with antilock disc brakes, traction control, front-seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags. Based on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s tests, the Sable earned a “Good” rating in both the frontal-offset and side-impact sets.

The Sable is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that generates 260 horsepower and gives 245 pound-feet of torque coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission.
