The 2008 Toyota Camry is both innovative and reliable, and includes several features that offer safety and convenience. Impressive new features include the Camry’s available Smart Key System and push-button start, which automatically unlocks the door and starts the car as the driver approaches, and also a CVT transmission, which allows for shiftless transmission.
The 2008 Camry, available in a hybrid model, offers several standard safety features, including front, rear, knee and side airbags and curtain airbags. Its novel Vehicle Stability Control helps the driver keep a handle on the car under inclement road conditions. The Camry, though stylish, is designed with the family in mind. It comes standard with child-protector rear door locks and the LATCH system, which drops tether brackets and anchors for children.
Halogen headlamps, a power tilt/slide moonroof and chrome-tipped exhaust keep the Camry cruising in style, and fog lights along with heated outside mirrors add to practicality on this model.
Interior comfort is provided by dual climate control with air filtration and 60/40 split fold down rear seats. The Camry also comes standard with a digital quartz clock, an AM/FM CD player with WMA/MP3 playback capability and other options include a 6-disc in-dash changer and satellite radio capabilities and in-glass antenna. Bluetooth capability, wireless technology and up to eight speakers in six locations also are available.
Toyota also includes in each Camry an information display with ECO Drive Level, hybrid system energy flow, outside temperature, average fuel economy, driving range, average speed and travel distance since start. Camry also has a 4-cylinder, 158-horse power engine, or 147 horses for the hybrid option.
Toyota’s 2008 Camry is a vehicle that combines safety, technology and affordability, making it a hard to pass buy for this year’s consumer.
