The 2008 Toyota Matrix is both innovative and reliable, with several new features that offer safety and practicality. Impressive new features include the Matrix’s available Vehicle Stability Control, designed to aid the driver in adverse road conditions. Combined with the Matrix’s Electronic Brake Force Distribution, which adjusts braking for better control on the road, the Matrix almost becomes its own safety net.
The 2008 Matrix offers several standard safety features, including front, side and rear curtain airbags, a 3-point rear passenger seatbelt system and side impact door beams. This spacious, sleek model is designed with the family in mind with features like child protector rear door locks and LATCH, which lowers tether brackets and anchors for children.
Halogen headlamps, a power tilt/slide moonroof with sunshade and color-keyed underbody spoilers add to the striking appearance, while an All-Weather Guard Package makes the Matrix a practical model.
Interior comfort is provided by air conditioning with filtration and a 60/40 split rear fold-down seat. The Matrix also comes standard with an AM/FM CD system with four speakers, and other audio options include a JBL 6-disc in-dash changer and up to six speakers. The Matrix is quite spacious, and provides ample storage standard with a rear cargo track system with eight adjustable tie-down hooks and under-deck storage compartment.
Toyota includes an information display in each Matrix including speedometer, tachometer with LCD odometer, twin tripmeters and outside temperature gauge, coolant temperature and fuel level gauges. The convenient Matrix rides behind the power level of its 126-horse power and 4-cylinder engine.
Toyota’s 2008 Matrix is spacious, safe and family-oriented, making it an appealing ride for this year’s consumer.
