The all new 2009 Chrysler 300 is looking poised to win a few hearts this year. It’s designed to take on the great American sports sedans at their own game, and hopefully, come out on top. Looking like a heavily made over letter car from the 50’s, it’s a very cool design and it can really move when it needs to.
There are two engines at work inside the 300 models; the LX version uses a 178-hp 2.7-liter V6 engine while the Touring and Limited use a 250-hp 3.5-liter V6. The 300C tops off the collection with a 5.7-liter version of Chrysler’s Hemi V8 with 359 bhp.
The 300 employs a range of standard safety features including traction control, antiskid system, and curtain side airbags. It also boasts a range of entertainment and driving aids, namely: Uconnect, satellite TV, rear seat video screens and DVD player and a decent Boston Acoustics speaker system.
It’s a solid car, looks great, and has the power to kick off the starting blocks with decent pace when it needs too. Overall the 2009 Chrysler 300 is a welcome and refreshing change to the more common sporty sedan look, and it’s sure to turn more heads than the likes of the Dodge Charger, Ford Taurus.
