The engineers involved in the design process really outdid themselves with the 2008 Hyundai Accent. Unlike many car manufacturers, the people at Hyundai understand that quality, safety and style don’t have to always add up to a huge price tag. When Hyundai entered the American market, consumers were shown a set of vehicles that didn’t look like their children’s toy cars, didn’t perform like their children’s toy cars and yet didn’t force them to remortgage their homes to purchase.

This year, Hyundai brought back that same type of business and design practice with the Accent. With more interior room than the Honda Civic, the ‘08 Accent also has much more to offer than its major competitors. The car comes in three models: the GS and SE (both three door designs) and the GLS (the four door design). No matter which model consumers decide on, they’ll be surrounded by high quality, high class features.

For example, the 2008 Accent gives drivers peace of mind with dual front airbags, roof mounted side-curtain airbags and front seat mounted side-impact airbags. All models also come with an available Anti-lock braking system (ABS) and Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD). Without a doubt, the Accent will stop when drivers want it to. Still, there’s more to this vehicle than just safety.

The 2008 Hyundai Accent’s engine is a powerful and fuel efficient dynamo that boasts Continuously Variable Valve Timing ULEV. This translates to up to 33 miles per gallon, saving hundreds if not thousands of dollars a year at the gas pump. Available in a wide variety of colors, the G3 model starts at $10,775. The SE has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $14,575 and the GLS four door can be out the door for as little as $12,925.

Quite possibly the most versatile vehicle in the company’s lineup this year, the 2008 Hyundai Tucson has something to offer just about anyone. From soccer moms in suburbia who aren’t ready to upgrade (or downgrade, perhaps?) to a minivan to hip scenesters fresh out of college, people of all ages and familial statuses will love the Tucson.

This year, the Tucson is available in three affordable models. Starting at $17,235, is the GLS. The SE occupies the mid price range, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $21,035. For those who like to have all of the bells and whistles a car can provide, the $22,885 Tucson Limited is the perfect option. Whichever style consumers decide on, the cars will meet and exceed their expectations.

For example, all three of the models have a 5 Star Crash Rating by NHTSA. With six standard airbags to cushion all aboard, in the event of an accident everyone will be highly protected from harm. On the driver’s side of the aisle, the ‘08 Tucson features a standard Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and a Traction Control System (TCS). With all of those acronyms along for the ride, people are bound to feel safer.

Still, there’s a lot of fun to be had while driving the 2008 Hyundai Tucson. The engine is a 2.7 liter, DOHC with six valves. As a result, there’s a ton of power to get drivers where they need to go fast. If owners prefer to race to vacation destinations or camp grounds, they’ll enjoy the 125 cubic feet of total interior space that has plenty of room for a ridiculous amount of luggage and equipment. If the great outdoors aren’t appealing at the moment, owners can pile up to four other friends in the car and hit up the mall.

When the 2008 Hyundai Elantra hit showrooms around the country this year, Hyundai proved that words like quality and polished aren’t mutually exclusive. In fact, when the vehicle is compared to other models in its class it tends to stand head and shoulders above the competition. Suddenly, the bar was raised and the term ìgreat valueî stopped being synonymous with the word cheap.

First and foremost, while on the subject of comparison, it’s worth noting that the ‘08 Elantra has the most interior room out of all of the sedans in its class. Also, it has more standard safety features than the Toyota Corolla. Some of these standard features include active front head restraints, six airbags and adjustable head restraints for every seating position.

The 2008 Elantra comes in two models this year: the GLS (which starts at $13,525) and the SE (that has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $16,225). No matter which design car shoppers decide on, they’ll enjoy the security of four wheel disc brakes with Electronic Brake Force Distribution and Anti-lock braking system (ABS). Again, the engineers that designed this vehicle didn’t trade off saving a few dollars for a reduction in safety. Somehow, the company managed not to pass on this expense to the consumer, which is not something seen everywhere.

The 2008 Hyundai Elantra is also extremely fuel efficient, getting up to 25 miles to the gallon in the city and up to 33 miles per gallon on the highway. Still, that doesn’t mean that the car lacks power. In fact, under the hood lies a 2.0 liter DOHC engine with 16 valves and Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) that has more horsepower than the Corolla and more torque than both the Corolla and the Honda Civic.

The 2008 Hyundai Tiburon proves to even the most skeptical consumers and critics that high performance vehicles don’t have to be accompanied by a high price tag.

The 2008 Hyundai Tiburon proves to even the most skeptical consumers and critics that high performance vehicles don’t have to be accompanied by a high price tag. Available in four different models this year (the GS, starting at $16,875; the GT, starting at $19,775; the GT Limited, starting at $22,375 and the SE, starting at $22,225), buyers have a choice of several different styles and even more colors, ensuring that they walk off of the lot with exactly the kind of car they had in mind.

Delivering more excitement than some people can handle, the ‘08 Tiburon models come with either a fuel efficient four cylinder option or a V-6 engine that has a ton of torque and power. Other available options include a sport tuned suspension (a track tuned comes standard on the SE model), Electronic Stability Control with a Traction Control System and Brake Assist. Four wheel disc brakes with an Anit-lock Braking System (ABS) ensure that no matter how fast drivers decide to push their car, it’ll always be able to stop when they want it to.

On the outside, the Hyundai Tiburon has some additional bells and whistles that help to differentiate it from the competition. For example, it sports a chrome tipped dual exhaust. A rear spoiler and alloy wheels complete the sleek appearance. At first glance, even when passerby don’t know anything about the capabilities of the vehicle, people know it goes fast. It’s the little details like those listed above that give them that impression.

Finally, on top of being a great value, the 2008 Hyundai Tiburon also comes with special offers this year. From low annual percentage rates (APR) for qualified borrowers to cash rebates that can be used to pay off future speeding tickets, there’s something to please everyone.

On the company’s website, the 2008 Hyundai Sonata is touted as a refined and sophisticated sedan that inspires driving confidence and offers and unprecedented combination of safety, power and value. Somehow, once one takes the vehicle for a test drive, it becomes apparent there’s so much more to the car than safety, power and value.

For example, each of the three models of the ‘08 Sonata (the GLS, SE and Limited) offer quite a bit of style and charm. Each model has four doors and special offers for buyers that include a low annual percentage rate (APR) and cash rebates. Available in a rainbow of hues, there’s sure to be a design and color combination to make anyone happy.

That said, the 2008 Sonata is more than a great body. It has earned the government’s highest crash rating (NHTSA), a full five stars. Other safety features include six airbags that cushion all passengers in the event of an accident, seatbelt pretensioners, active head restraints, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). With plenty of room for up to 5 passengers to ride comfortably, they can also enjoy a trip without worry of the car crumpling in the event of an accident.

Still, just because the 2008 Hyundai Sonata is a safe car to drive doesn’t mean that it’s a boring car to drive. In fact, this year introduces the new Lambda engine family to car. With an aluminum block and head, the DOHC, 24 valve engine has 234 horsepower and hydraulic motor mounts. Additionally, there’s a variable induction system and maintenance free steel timing chain. Even though the car has 226 pounds per foot of torque, the Sonata will get 19 miles per gallon in the city and 28 miles per gallon on the highway.
